This collection of four hand-chased sterling silver jugs was commissioned by the Worshipful Company of Grocers, in response to a brief to create a set of highly functional yet elegant water vessels. Each jug is hand-raised from a single sheet of silver, with subtle vertical chasing that enhances the fluidity of the form and captures shifting light across the surface.

The interiors are richly gilded, offering a warm golden contrast to the mirror-polished exterior—an unexpected detail that adds depth and refinement. Designed for balance, beauty, and everyday use, the handles are shaped for ergonomic grace and visual flow.
 

This commission marked a pivotal moment: the first major step toward founding Oscar Saurin Ltd. It set the tone for a practice rooted in craftsmanship, clarity of form, and purposeful design.
